FREE USCG VESSEL SAFETY INSPECTION
GIG HARBOR, JUNE 11TH. 10:00AM TO 3:00PM
EVEN EXPERIENCED BOATERS NEED A VESSEL SAFETY CHECK!
Members of the Gig Harbor Police Department and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will be hosting a “drive-in” and “marina visit” Vessel Safety Check Day on June 11th from 10am to 3pm.
This event will help the boating public make sure that they have the proper safety equipment and are compliant under State and Federal regulations.
If your boat is on a trailer, just bring it to the Gig Harbor Civic Center located at:
3510 Grandview St, Gig Harbor, WA 98335
Inspections will be given June 11th from 10am to 3pm
A vessel safety check usually takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending upon the size of your boat
If your boat is moored at one of the local marinas, we are taking reservations for marina visits too!
Any Boat! Local or Visiting may sign up.
What’s In it For Me?
Vessels passing safety checks are awarded a U.S. Coast Guard / Auxiliary Decal that informs:
- Coast Guard / Auxiliary
- Sheriff’s & Police
- other boating law-enforcement & safety agency’s
that your boat was in full compliance with all Federal and State boating laws during a safety check for that year. Best of all every Vessel Safety Check is 100% Free of charge!
